Role criteria and responsibilities:

• At least 2 years of work experience as a Paediatric Speech Pathologist
• Embrace our family-centered model and provide caregiver’s education around the child’s therapy interventions and recommendations.
• Provide assessments and interventions, to clients, based on collaborative, family-centered goals.
• Provide 1-to-1 therapy to clients in the center and schools.
• Develop, conduct, and review individual therapy sessions, practice good communication on the intervention plans and outcomes to families, adjust intervention plans as needed to ensure engagement in sessions.
• Document clinical notes and client progress
• Collaborate with child’s care team members (i.e. carers, education setting staff) for skills generalisation and therapy progress.
• Provide group therapy programs to clients in the centre.
• Maintain workplace professionalism and display good interpersonal skills amongst team and stakeholders.
• Caseload: The caseload for this role consists of early intervention, and school age clients. We provide services to children with a range of diagnoses under NDIS, Medicare, or private funding in centre and in schools.

Requirements:

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
• A current registration with the SPA
• A current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• A current Working with Children Check.
• A current First Aid and CPR certification.
• A current RRHAN-EC certification.
• Open Australian driver’s licence.
