You must:

• Be a permanent resident or possess a suitable unrestricted work visa
• Be available within the next month
• Be able to work very flexible days/hours in response to client needs
• Be able to travel for at least four weeks at a time
• Possess a full current drivers licence
• Be resilient and hard working
• Get on with people
• Possess near native-level second language proficiency
• Have native-level, University graduate standard, written Japanese or written English skills
• Desire to learn and broaden your experience of translation and interpreting
• Be prepared to take on work that may be unfamiliar or new

Though not essential, these may be advantages:

• Reside in Melbourne
• Owning a car
• Having prepared for and sat NAATI Professional level exams
• Having previous training/experience in translation and/or interpreting
• Being a confident PC user (ESPECIALLY EXCEL)
