St Joseph's Catholic Primary School is a co-educational school, situated on 4.5 hectares with sweeping mountain views, with a current enrolment of 712 students. St Joseph's School, in strong partnership with the parish priest and parish community, is recognised for proudly offering quality, inclusive, Catholic Education. As the school has grown and changed it has continued to build on the traditions established by the early community of St Joseph's. We are seeking a passionate professional to take on the role of School Chaplain at St Joseph's Bracken Ridge. The successful applicant would ideally have a qualification equivalent to or higher than a certificate IV including competency in mental health, pastoral care and working with youth.
Applicants must possess a valid Blue Card and have knowledge of the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations (NPCSO). Additionally, all applicants will require an enthusiasm for working as part of a team supporting our diverse student community.
Additional Work Opportunities:
Work opportunities are also available alongside the School Chaplain role, with an additional 2-3 days working in the local parish. This provides the chance to immerse yourself further in the community, build deeper connections, and contribute to various parish activities. More information will be provided to the suitable candidate.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
