Peninsula Leisure has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time Operations Officer to join our dynamic leadership team at the award-winning Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (PARC) in Frankston.
The Operations Officer will work as a Duty Manager 2 days a week, with 3 days of administration duties. This role will be required to work one day on the weekend.
As a key member of the Peninsula Leisure Operations leadership team, the Operations Officer will work closely with the Operations Coordinator assisting with recruitment & onboarding, rostering, training, staff management, safety management, document control and other duties as required to ensure Peninsula Leisure’s professional standards are met.
When working as a Duty Manager, the role is an integral part of the successful day-to-day operation of the facility, ensuring the smooth delivery of all programs and services. As a Duty Manager, you will make certain that our Centre’s are adhering to the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations and the GSPOs as well as addressing member and guest needs or concerns to ensure exceptional customer experiences are delivered.
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated people management experience, prepared to lead by example, manage performance and deliver excellence
- Strong knowledge of the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations
- Strong knowledge of supervision planning and the Lifeguard roles
- Strong customer experience focus
- Ability to create and manage multiple rosters
- Knowledge of Risk Management and Occupational Health and Safety issues relevant to a Leisure Centre environment
- Effective time management and administration skills
- Ability to demonstrate and display Peninsula Leisure values
Employment will be subject to a National Police check and a Working with Children Check. The incumbent will also be required to hold current Pool Lifeguard and Provide First Aid qualifications, with an Aquatic Technical Operators certificate highly regarded.
