About us: My Lotus Café is a Family Friendly Café located in the heart of Tallawong (Blacktown City Council) and opens 7 days a week. We are located opposite the Tallawong Metro inside Tallawong Village.

As a crucial team member, our baristas, waiters, and front-of-house staff are key to enhancing the overall experience of our esteemed guests. Your role is not just about making coffee but about creating a unique and memorable dining experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain expert knowledge in hospitality and specialty coffee.
• Ensure high coffee quality, service, and presentation.
• Warmly greeting and serving customers
• Taking and preparing customer orders, including a variety of beverages and light snacks
• Maintaining the cleanliness and inviting atmosphere of the cafe
• Handling cash transactions with accuracy and providing excellent customer service.
• Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitoring inventory levels and restocking as needed.
• Assisting in creating a welcoming environment

Desirable: To thrive in this role, candidates should possess:

• 1-2 years minimum experience in a Barista role, Waiter, Front of House
• Previous experience in a cafe or hospitality setting
• Thrive in fast-paced environments.
• Attention to detail.
• Exceptional customer service skills and practical communication abilities
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) preferably.
• 35-40 hours a week
• All candidates must be available for a variety of shifts, including days, nights and weekends
• Work schedules are based on rosters.
• Preferably, Vietnamese speaking is a plus.
