Casual Barista / Café All-Rounder – FLA Café Newstead

Location: First Light Active Café - Newstead, Brisbane
Hours: Up to 20 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Shift Times: Rostered between 5:45 AM – 2:00 PM
Remuneration: Based on experience

FLA Café is on the hunt for an experienced Barista & Café All-Rounder to join our team! We’re part of First Light Active, a vibrant fitness community, and we want someone who shares our passion for health, wellness, and quality coffee.

Your Daily Coffee ☕ Quest:
• Crafting high-quality specialty coffee with precision and care
• Providing fun, bubbly, and engaging customer service
• Preparing and serving a simple, fresh café menu
• Assisting with general café operations, including cleaning and restocking
• Working efficiently in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

Dream Team Member:

✔️ Minimum 3 years of barista experience - must be confident with specialty coffee techniques (dialling in, milk texturing, latte art)
✔️ A passion for customer service – are you someone friendly, approachable, and positive
✔️ Interest in health & fitness – our café is part of a gym, so an appreciation for an active lifestyle is a bonus!
✔️ Ability to work independently – initiative and reliability are key
✔️ Flexible availability – shifts rostered between 5:45 AM – 2:00 PM
