About the role

We are seeking an experienced Yards man/Forklift driver to join the team at AAA Pallets Pty Ltd in Minto, NSW. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of our pallet yard, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials. As the Yards man/ Forklift driver, you will play a crucial part in supporting our manufacturing and logistics operations.

What you'll be doing

• Loading and unloading of trucks
• Checking of received goods against delivery dockets
• Ensure all yard operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner according to standard procedures
• stock rotation, and implement effective space utilisation strategies
• Liaise with production, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure timely delivery of pallets
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to yard activities
• Assist with the coordination of subcontractors and third-party transport providers
• Opening up of the factory at the start of each day, starting up machines ready for the production team

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Yards man/Forklift driver or in a similar role within a manufacturing, logistics or warehousing environment
• Timber industry experience would be an advantage
• Strong understanding of pallet handling, storage, and inventory management best practices
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and multitask effectively
• Proficient in the use of fork lift
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
• Commitment to workplace health and safety, with a focus on continuous improvement
• Forklift licence and relevant industry certifications are a must
