YARDPERSON- BRICK YARD/ MACHINERY SALES

We are seeking an experienced Yards man/Forklift driver to join the team at our brick recycling and machinery sales business in Reservoir, Vic. This role is responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operations of our brick yard, ensuring the smooth flow of recycled brick coming in and leaving the yard. As the Yards man/ Forklift driver, you will play a crucial part in supporting our brick cleaning and logistics operations and second-hand machine cleaning

What you'll be doing

• Loading and unloading of trucks
• Inventory of bricks being cleaned
• Ensure all yard operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner according to standard procedures
• Overseeing overall operations
• Occasionally liaise with customers that come to choose bricks
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to yard activities
• Assist with the coordination of subcontractors and third-party transport providers

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Yards man/Forklift driver or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of pallet handling, storage, and inventory management best practices
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and multitask effectively
• Proficient in the use of forklift
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to workplace health and safety, with a focus on continuous improvement
• Forklift licence and relevant industry certifications are a must
