About the role

Join our growing team of mortgage brokers at YBR Newcastle and help people achieve their home ownership dreams. As a Mortgage Broker, you will be responsible for providing personalised financial solutions to clients, guiding them through the mortgage application process and securing the best deals on their behalf. This is a full-time role based in our Newcastle West office, with opportunities for remote and flexible work arrangements.

What you'll be doing

• Assessing clients' financial situations and mortgage requirements
• Researching the market to identify the most suitable loan products and lenders for each client
• Not getting stuck loading deals and compliance as we offer full back end support to alleviate this for you
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients and providing ongoing support throughout the loan process
• Staying up-to-date with changes in the mortgage and lending industry
• Achieving individual and team sales targets

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a mortgage broker or in a similar financial services role
• Strong knowledge of the mortgage and lending industry, including various loan products and lender policies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
• A self-motivated and driven approach to achieving sales targets
• Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking or a Bachelor's degree in a related field
