Experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant or Registered Nurse with knowledge in the care and delivery of Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)? We would love you to join our team in this specialised and focused role caring for patients undergoing treatment - interest you??
The position is responsible for the effective and efficient coordination, quality and governance of ECT services across a range of clinical settings including operating theatre, day surgery, inpatient units and provision of high quality ECT. The Clinical Nurse Consultant coordinates and delivers high quality person-centred care in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Standards for Practice for Registered Nurses, and the Policies and Procedures of the Ministry of Health and SESLHD community settings. The role is integral in-service monitoring and auditing which is crucial to the to the provision of high quality ECT.

Selection Criteria:
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.
- Current National Nurse Registration with AHPRA to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with a minimum of five years full time equivalent post registration experience and approved post registration nursing qualification relevant to the field, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues and problem solve through the development and use of clinical management plans.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise extended autonomy of decision making while working as part of a multidisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
- Demonstrated skills in the development & facilitation of consumer and carer education and staff as required.
- Demonstrated effective leadership skills including developed skills in communication, problem solving and decision-making skills in relation to managing responsibilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice and a commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
- Commitment to consumer consultation and participation in service planning and delivery, policy development and implementation, priority setting and service evaluation and quality activities.
- Current NSW Drivers licence (and a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
