Are you a qualified and experienced Telecommunications Field Technician with a passion for customer-focused solutions? Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this position are:
- Adherence to safety compliance requirements on and off site.
- Be proactive in the care, health and safety of others.
- Installation of all forms of cabling for network, data, CCTV, communication and entertainment services.
- Perform physical installations of network, communication and security hardware components.
- Assist in the pre-configuration, testing and commissioning of these services.
- Identification and rectification of service faults.
- Complete all required project documentation for testing and commissioning.
About you
- Focused on creating a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Three or more years in a Telecommunication Technician’s role or similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines for time-critical projects.
- Recent experience installing and testing coaxial, data and fibre cables on medium to large scale projects.
- Proven experience wiring components in server racks, e.g. switches, VES systems.
- Able to diagnose and rectify system faults.
- Ability to appreciate and understand customer requirements.
- A willingness to collaborate and learn from others.
- Proven ability to interpret wiring diagrams to deliver required services.
- Willing to travel to remote locations within Australia.
Any of the following will be highly regarded:
- A working knowledge of Wi-Fi technologies like Ruckus, Cisco, Meraki.
- Experience in delivering security services using CCTV or access control systems.
- Experience installing and setting up satellite dishes for televisions or data services.
- Experience in configuring Access Points.
- Qualification in Telecommunications Technology or similar.
- Optical fibre experience such as GPON networks.
