3 month contract role - Perfect opportunity for an experienced Insurance Administrator to take up a short term role whilst searching for something more permanent
An opportunity for an experienced Insurance Administrator to join a Melbourne based industry superannuation fund. We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Insurance Administrator to join the team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of administrative tasks related to member insurance & claims, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service.
You will join an existing team on a 3 month contract bases
Location: Melbourne CBD
Hybrid work
Rate: $335 - $375 per day
ASAP Start
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the Insurance and Claims team:
- Process and manage incoming and outgoing hard copy mail.
- Complete simple claims tasks within designated queues.
- Conduct follow-up activities, including assessment follow-ups, income protection follow-ups, and new claim follow-ups.
- Review and approve payment requests.
- Submit payment requests and verify payment accuracy.
- Handle written enquiries from members, solicitors, and claimants.
- Prepare and send paper claim forms as required.
- Scan and file internal documents for record-keeping.
- Assist with claim decline processes, including reviewing and compiling decline documentation.
- Raise and allocate tasks within the team to ensure timely action.
- Answer calls on the claims general line (subject to experience).
Selection Criteria:
Skills and Experience:
- MUST have 2+ years of Superannuation administration experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly while maintaining confidentiality
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
- The ability to adapt to varying situations and take on different tasks as required
Education, Qualifications, and Accreditation:
- RG146 Superannuation certification is desirable.
- Other relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.
