With a large Australian database & online following and new programs rolling out, we’re all about making renovations & anything home related easier, smarter & more accessible for our community. We’re launching a brand-new content division & looking for a talented & highly experienced content writer / journalist with a solid track record to join our Sydney Office. You’ll be creating engaging, inspiring & downright addictive content in the property, renovation, home and lifestyle space, and keeping our community ahead of the latest trends. This is an exciting time to join the company in a role that can be very flexible to suit your lifestyle be it a part time, contract or full-time role, short or long term.

What You’ll Be Doing (Besides Making Us Look Good Online):

• Writing & Storytelling – Create compelling content from short & long-form EDM’s to snappy video scripts to website copy, your words will inform, entertain & inspire.
• Content Creation – Blogs, editorial pieces, newsletters - you name it, you’ll create them.
• Idea Generation – Got a great angle on how to renovate your home without losing your head? We want to hear it.
• Interviews & Research – Talk or interview industry experts, uncover trends & make sure our content is always fresh, factual & fabulous.
• Establish & Develop Relationships with key media contacts & home related organisations to generate content pieces.
• Collaboration – You’ll work with our videographer, producer & graphic designer to bring your words & articles to life.

What We’re Looking For:

• Solid experience in a similar role in home, interior design, property styling, renovating, lifestyle magazine publishing or digital content platforms.
• A creative thinker – You can take a basic idea & turn it into a story people want to read.
• A wordsmith extraordinaire – Have the ability to gather information & create compelling digital content that is engaging, informative & never dull.
• Experience with SEO & optimising content for search engines.
• A sharp sense for selecting photos & videos that effectively enhance a story on a digital platform.
• A collaborative self-starter, great with details with the ability to work autonomously & as part of a team to deadlines.
• A great communicator who can build & maintain relationships to generate story ideas, interview experts & others within the industry.
