About the role

At Top Disability Care Australia, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Sans Souci, NSW. In this casual role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individual needing 1-1 care empowering them to live their best lives.

We are looking for someone with experience in:

•⁠ ⁠Epilepsy
•⁠ ⁠⁠Manual handling - hoist
•⁠ ⁠⁠Mealtime management

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Facilitating community access and participation, including accompanying clients to appointments, social events, and recreational activities
• Implementing and monitoring individualised support plans to ensure clients' needs are met
• Advocating for clients' rights and promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to client care and support
• Collaborating with allied health professionals and the broader support team to deliver coordinated, person-centred care

What we're looking for

• A Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to promoting their inclusion and independence
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with clients, their families, and other stakeholders
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
• A current driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
• A valid First Aid certificate and National Police Clearance
