AustCorp Executive is partnering with a ASX listed technology company who specialises in the manufacturing of products to support a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

The role we are recruiting for is a Senior Electronics Engineer to lead research development and execution through the Electronics, Firmware and Hardware life cycle. Your position in the company will play an integral role in driving the product from conceptualisation to prototyping stage. This includes everything from circuit design, schematic capture and PCB layout to product testing, validation and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

The Role

• Manage the design and research development of PCB layout, schematics and 3D models.
• Work closely with the mechanical, embedded/firmware, electronic and software teams to ensure seamless systems integration.
• Ensure designs are reliable and robust to meet the client’s quality standard.
• Translate technical requirements and customer needs into working electronic solutions.
• Manage the design and development process of new products from conceptualisation through to market deployment.
• Lead the development of electronic hardware and support the software team through the creation of software and applications to support the product.
• Perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting and rework of electronics hardware during the prototyping and production phases.
• Establish component and assembly verification & validation requirements and implement test procedures.

The Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. Electronics and/or Mechatronics).
• 5+ years of significant experience in the industry.
• Experience with PCB design software such as Altium, Fusion360, Eagle or similar.
• Use of industry-standard tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, Git and/or SVN.
• Knowledge of EMC/EMI principles.
• Ability to design products for manufacture and assembly.
• Analytical skills with the capability to design and execute component and system-level testing.
