Sheetmetal Worker – Duct Manufacturing

Boronia | $46 per hour + regular overtime | Full-time | Immediate start

Our client is a leading Australian manufacturing company, established in 1991 and specialising in the design and fabrication of high-quality ducting systems for major infrastructure and industrial projects. With a strong reputation for excellence and a long-term future in the local manufacturing sector, they are now seeking an experienced and qualified Sheetmetal Worker to join their friendly and supportive team in Boronia.

About the Role

In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for the manufacture of ductwork from 3mm gauge steel — including forming, bending, rolling, and MIG welding.
Duct sizes range from 150mm to 2000mm in diameter, offering variety and challenge in your day-to-day work.

From time to time, you’ll also assist with installing completed ducts at client sites (including some Saturday work).

Hours & Pay

$46 per hour + overtime rates

Monday–Thursday: 7:00am–3:30pm

Friday: 7:00am–1:00pm

Regular overtime available on weekdays and Saturdays

What You’ll Bring

Trade qualification as a Sheetmetal Worker (or proven equivalent experience)

Strong skills in folding, bending, rolling, forming, and MIG welding

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

A safety-first mindset and attention to detail

Reliability, dedication, and a positive attitude that fits into a tight-knit, friendly workshop culture

Willingness to work regular overtime when required

Please note: shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a weld test to assess experience and skill level.
