Adelaide Quality Care is seeking compassionate, dedicated Personal Care Workers to join our friendly team on a casual basis.

If you’re studying nursing or looking to build your career in home and community, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on, person-centred experience while working flexible hours that fit around your lifestyle or studies.

We’re especially looking for candidates who are interested in passive or active overnight shifts or those that can offer at least 3–4 days of availability per week. With 25+ hours of casual work available weekly, this role offers both stability and variety.

About the Role

You’ll be providing high-quality personal care and support to elderly and disabled recipients within their homes across metropolitan Adelaide.

Your responsibilities include:

Assisting both aged and disabled recipients with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting etc.)

Supporting with meal preparation, light housekeeping and medications prompts

Providing companionship and promoting social engagement

Monitoring and reporting any changes in health or wellbeing

Following care plans and upholding all safety and compliance standards

What We’re Looking For

Candidates who are interested in passive or active overnight shifts or those that can offer at least 3–4 days of availability per week

Preparedness to drive within the greater Metropolitan, including CBD and Adelaide Hills

Ability to build great rapport with recipients

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to follow detailed care plans and instructions accurately

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

A genuine passion for working in the Home and Community Care sector

Essential Requirements

Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged and/or Disability) or completion of at least your first Nursing placement

National Police Clearance and NDIS Worker Screening Check

Manual Handling, Medication Competency, First Aid & CPR and Hand Hygiene certificates

A full Australian driver’s licence and a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle (you’ll use your own vehicle to travel between recipients)
