  • Amplify your impact as a Research Fellow in Friedreich Ataxia research
  • Join our inclusive, collaborative team driving neuroimaging innovation
  • Be surrounded by extraordinary ideas and experts in neurodegenerative research

The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate Research Fellow to join the team and contribute to a multidisciplinary project aimed at advancing the understanding, drug development and clinical management of Friedreich Ataxia (FA), a rare progressive neurodegenerative disease. In this role, you will work with the internationally recognised TRACK-FA dataset, applying computational modelling and neuroimaging analysis to explore brain structure-function relationships and identify imaging biomarkers that could inform future clinical care and treatment strategies.

The position will play a key role in sharing research findings through manuscript preparation, publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferences. The Research Fellow will also actively participate in collaborative lab initiatives, interdisciplinary project meetings and wider group activities, contributing to the research direction and outputs of a team dedicated to translating discovery into meaningful impact for people living with Friedreich Ataxia.

We are seeking someone with a PhD in computer engineering, biomedical engineering, neuroscience, physics or a closely related discipline, supported by demonstrated experience in computational modelling, neuroimaging or signal processing. Strong analytical and writing skills, along with the ability to manage complex datasets and work effectively in collaborative teams, will also be essential.

If you are motivated by meaningful research and wish to join a team dedicated to advancing knowledge in neurodegenerative disease, we invite you to apply and help make a lasting difference in the field of Friedreich Ataxia research.
