To strengthen how we design and commission services, we have created a brand-new role Lead – Commissioning Reform.
This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead health system reforms in Tasmania, working on projects that directly influence how services are designed, commissioned and delivered. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, giving you the chance to take reform from concept through to implementation.
What you would be doing
Reporting to the Manager – Service design, your focus will be:
Leading reform and recommissioning projects from design through to delivery
Developing new service models that reflect community needs and commissioning priorities
Coordinating transition planning, procurement and contract mobilisation
Guiding Health Service Planners involved in reform projects
Preparing reports and recommendations that inform future investment and improvement
Here's what you’ll look like
You might have a background in health or community services, commissioning, project management, research or policy.
These skills will get you off to a great start:
Experience leading large-scale service reform or change projects
Strong understanding of commissioning and procurement processes
Ability to manage complex programs and competing priorities
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
