Manly Vale Community Kindergarten is a highly regarded, 30-place not-for-profit preschool. Our preschool program runs from 9:00am to 3:00pm (Mon–Wed) and 8:00am to 3:30pm (Thu–Fri).

We are seeking a Certificate III qualified educator or an enthusiastic trainee who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to supporting children’s learning and development in a warm, community-focused environment.

Position Details
Our preschool operates during school terms only.
We are seeking an educator to work the following hours:

Monday to Wednesday: 9:00am – 3:00pm

Thursday and Friday: 9:30am – 3:30pm

We’re happy to discuss flexible options — applicants are welcome to apply for either the three-day role (Mon–Wed) or the two-day role (Thu–Fri).

Your Responsibilities

Assist in delivering engaging, age-appropriate educational programs for children aged 3–5 years

Support the setup and pack-away of equipment and furniture each day

Contribute to creating a safe, secure, and stimulating environment that nurtures children’s wellbeing and development

Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and the wider community

Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities

Follow all service policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

About You

We welcome applications from both qualified educators and those wishing to undertake a traineeship in Early Childhood Education and Care.

You will have:

A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development

Physical ability to meet the demands of a pack-away preschool (sitting on the floor, bending, lifting, moving equipment)

A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Australian work authorisation

A current Working With Children Check and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Must be at least 18 years of age
