EACON Mining Technology delivers the world’s most deployed autonomous haulage system. Founded in 2018 in China, EACON provides turnkey solutions that optimise surface mining operations through scalable mixed fleet autonomy. Our flagship platform, ORCASTRA®, is fully OEM agnostic and compatible with trucks of any brand, whether new or existing. With vehicle level autonomy, 360-degree perception, and real time optimised dispatching, we help mines enhance safety, improve productivity, and accelerate their path to net zero. EACON also brings deep expertise in emission reducing powertrain technologies, offering hybrid electric, battery electric, and retrofit autonomy options to support a safer, greener mining future.

With the launch of Eacon Mining Technology Australia Pty Ltd in December 2023 and with the significant milestones of 2024, we have not only established our new office in West Perth but have also expanded collaboration with our partners and clients. We are rapidly growing, and as such, we are looking for talented professionals to join our thriving team in Perth.

Provide technical support for the installation, commissioning, configuration, and calibration of mining trucks, ancillary equipment, and system sensors.

Diagnose and troubleshoot real-time issues on equipment, hardware, and software systems during field operations.

Support maintenance, upgrades, and operational performance improvements for all AHS-related systems.

Prepare test plans, procedures, and technical documentation; capture and analyse logs and data.

Communicate effectively with the China R&D team to report and manage issues, collaborate on technical support, and provide structured feedback.

Clearly communicate plans, task priorities, testing schedules, and dependencies to the local project team.

Work with customers to implement change and capture feedback.

Participate in and support operational risk assessment and HAZID processes.

Establish an on-site knowledgebase and standardise troubleshooting and diagnostic processes.

Essential Criteria:

Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field

Proficient in English and Mandarin with strong technical communication skills.

Knowledge of vehicle controls systems and sensors used in robotics (CAN bus, Lidar, Camera, GNSS, RTK).

Knowledge of Linux, basic scripting, and databases.

Experience in programming languages such as C/C++/Python/Java.

Familiar with testing, verification, validation, and system integration processes.

Familiar with networking and communications.

Experience working on a mine site, or with autonomous equipment, driving systems, or industrial automation.

A hands-on mindset with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure in a field environment.
