Our new Bass Strait Airport Bar & Tasting Room brings this story to life — serving locals, travellers and visitors a premium island experience that blends fine food, cocktails and warm hospitality.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a passionate Café Bar All-Rounder to join our island team — someone who thrives on connecting with people, takes pride in every coffee and cocktail served, and wants to embrace a truly unique lifestyle on King Island.

This is a hands-on hospitality role perfect for someone with experience as both a barista and bartender, and a love for quality ingredients, authentic service, and community spirit.

What You’ll Do

Prepare consistently excellent coffee, beverages and light food service

Mix and present cocktails using King Island Distillery’s award-winning spirits

Share the King Island Distillery story with guests and visitors

Manage tasting sessions and product knowledge with professionalism and warmth

Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and customer service

Assist with day-to-day operations including stock control and merchandising

About You

You’ll fit right in if you:

Have previous barista and/or bar experience

Hold a current RSA

Are confident, reliable and take initiative in a fast-paced, boutique environment

Enjoy engaging with customers and telling the story behind great local products

Have an interest in fine food, spirits and cocktails

Value teamwork, pride in presentation and genuine hospitality

Are open to island life — slower pace, stronger community, stunning environment
