The Role

An opportunity has become available for several Enrolled Nurses (Complex Management Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Participation in auditing/data collection and quality initiatives
• Be accountable for own professional practice, conduct and professional development
• Promote teamwork through patient and family first care
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based care optimising patient outcomes and service performance

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Diploma of Nursing or equivalent
• Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Permanent part time (several part time positions, up to 72hrs per fortnight)
• Base salary ranging from $35.92 - $38.12 per hour

About Us

The Complex Management Unit (CMU) is a 22-bed inpatient unit dedicated to general medical patients who no longer need acute intervention and require complex psychosocial, behavioural and functional management for discharge planning. The unit is supported by a rehabilitation physician and geriatrician, and a model of care involving a multidisciplinary approach with specialised medical, nursing and allied health staff.

The unit offers a supportive environment for professional development. Succession planning is promoted with opportunities for all nursing designations. Ongoing education is supported by an Educator and a Clinical Facilitator.
