Are you a dynamic and experienced Nurse Practitioner seeking a great opportunity in an Urgent Care Clinic?
Our client is opening an Urgent Care Clinic in a prominent position in Carnegie. As the Nurse Practitioner with in this team you will play a pivotal role in transforming local healthcare delivery. A chance to use the breadth of your autonomous practice to treat patients with urgent but non life threatening conditions, alongside a General Practitioner, diverting pressure from hospital Emergency Departments and making a real difference in access to healthcare in this community. You will utilise your advanced clinical knowledge and expertise to assess, diagnose and manage patient care effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive history taking, Triage and timely care within the Urgent Care guidelines
- Conduct necessary observations and health assessments
- Develop and execute treatment plans in conjunction with the GP
- Experience and desire to contribute to the Clinical Leadership of the Urgent Care team
- Providing patient and family Education and Health Promotion as needed.
- Collaborating with GPs, Specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care delivery.
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation, ensuring smooth transition of care through detailed discharge summaries and follow-up arrangements for the patients regular GP.
Essential Requirements:
- Nurse Practitioner, Endorsed (AHPRA)
- Experience in Urgent Care, Emergency, Critical Care, or Rural and Remote Nursing.
- Or a NP with a desire to further develop skills in an Urgent Care environment.
- High level of confidence and clinical proficiency in managing a wide spectrum or minor injuries and illness presentations across all age groups.
- Understanding of Medicare MBS and PB (or willing to learn) with legislative authority to request diagnostic test and prescribe.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and team work.
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia
