What you'll be doing
As Director Clinical Systems, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for WSLHD’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform, ensuring its integrity, security, and alignment with NSW Health’s vision for improved patient care.

Develop and implement long-term strategies for EHR platforms and clinical systems

Lead and mentor the EHR team to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services

Oversee governance, risk management, and compliance for clinical applications

Drive continuous improvement and innovation in system design and functionality

Represent WSLHD in clinical informatics forums and manage key stakeholder relationships

How to Apply

Relevant tertiary qualifications in information technology, health or informatics, and/or demonstrated experience and a record of achievement in the delivery of enterprise clinical application support services and ICT projects in a senior management role within a large and complex environment in health settings

Demonstrated experience and knowledge in aligning business, information, application and technical architectures to business strategies. This includes expert knowledge and demonstrated experiences in leading clinical solution architectural development and implementation at an enterprise level

Demonstrated detailed understanding of the current and future ICT applications and technologies used to support clinical services and patient administrations as well as demonstrated experience in strategic planning, developing, testing, implementing and managing clinical applications including but not limited to iPM and eMR.

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to analyse and interpret complex information, prepare and present analysis and reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions

Sound financial management skills including budgeting, monitoring and reporting requirements as well as capacity to develop and administer contracts and to negotiate and manage service level agreements

Advanced organisational skills and demonstrated experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve business goals, perform and always work with a customer focused approach

Advanced communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate instructions and ideas to a variety of internal and external stakeholders including technical staff, clinical staff and senior executive.

Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in developing and managing various teams using good judgement and assessment skills whilst always fostering a performance based and customer focused work culture
