Dermal / Skin Therapist - Island Glow Aesthetics

• $35 - $45 per hour (permanent rate of pay) for a highly confident and experienced Dermal / Skin Therapist.
• Work /Life Balance: Choose from Full time or Part time hours. Flexibility with days/times to suit your lifestyle!

Our clinicians include doctors, registered nurses, dermal therapists and IPL/Laser specialists. About the Role

As a Skin/Dermal Therapist, your will lead by example and treat all clients with the utmost respect, ensuring they feel welcome, confident and at ease. Combining a passion for skin care, beauty and client experience, the Skin/Dermal Therapist delivers a unique, exclusive, and engaging service for each client during every treatment or consultation.

Essential Requirements:

• Diploma of Beauty Therapy or Bachelor of Dermal Sciences.
• A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience within a luxury spa or clinical environment.
• Minimum confidence and in clinic experience in facials, waxing, and IPL.
• Confidence in chemical peels, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, carbon laser, nano fractional treatments, lash & brow services and LED are an advantage, however not essential as full training can be provided.
• Skilled and knowledgeable regarding skincare formulations and ingredients.
• Knowledgeable of the skin’s anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent communication skills with a keen desire to create the ultimate client experience.

Main Responsibilities:

• Delivers a unique, exclusive, and engaging service for each client during every treatment or consultation.
• Leverages products, services, sales techniques, and clienteling in order to recruit, loyalise and grow client return rate in collaboration with their team.
• Ensures that the treatment room and studio floor are maintained to the highest of standards.
• Maintains the treatment room by properly maintaining tools, devices and equipment within.
• Maintains infection control to the highest of standards.
• Maintains clinical notes within best practice guidelines.
• Shares best practices with the team and contributes to the nourishment of their collective knowledge (peer to peer learning).
• Participates in on-going development and skills training.
