We are seeking a self-motivated and proven leader to join Council's Water Reclamation team to provide operational expertise in the operations and running of the sewage treatment plants around Wagga Wagga.
- Permanent, full-time position available.
- Remuneration of $3,087.34 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,704.81 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%).

Your new role:
In this role, you will assist the Senior Water Reclamation Operator to provide operational expertise, skills and knowledge to ensure high quality operation and maintenance of Council's Sewage Treatment Plants, ensuring the facilities reflect industry best practice and comply with environmental legislative requirements.
Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to assist the Senior Water Reclamation Operator in:
- Coordinate the day-to-day operational and maintenance activities of all sewage treatment plant sites to ensure compliance with best practice and Environmental Protection Licences.
- Organise delivery of, oversee and/or undertake inspection/activities in line with the Facilities Operating Plan, particularly with the Preventative Maintenance Schedule for the site.
- Instigate timely intervention, adjustments and improvement processes to prevent licence breaches.
- Ensure sample collection and analysis is carried out in accordance with best practice and licence requirements, including undertaking training and guidance of team members.
- Participate in continuous improvement of plant operations, asset maintenance and replacement to align with water industry best practice and environmental targets contained in the Facilities Operating Plan.
- Assist the Team Leader to develop and implement works programs, undertake project management activities and maintain asset registers.
We are looking for someone with:
- Certificate III in Water Industry Treatment (Wastewater) and/or Certificate of Completion – Advanced Wastewater Treatment Operations (NSW Department of Planning, Industries and Environment).
- A Class C Driver's Licence.
- Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
- Confined Spaces Certificate.
- First Aid Qualifications.
In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation applicants are required to be vaccinated and provide evidence for Hepatitis A; Hepatitis B and Q-Fever.
