Agar Cleaning Systems is a family-run manufacturer and supplier of high quality industrial and general cleaning products for commerce and industry, available directly and through distributors and resellers.

We're looking for a Process Worker to help our friendly team at our factory in Preston, Victoria.

The position is casual, working at least 30 hours any given week, on weekdays between 7:30am to 4:00pm. Depending on performance, an opportunity may exist for longer hours or a full-time position.

We're looking for an energetic, reliable person to carry out a range of duties which result in our products being packed in labelled containers ready for sale, including:

Retrieving and preparing packaging materials

Labelling empty containers

Assembling and labelling cartons

Filling containers with liquid products

Washing returned containers

Operating labelling, carton assembly and liquid filling machines

Storing away finished goods

Stock counting

This role suits someone who enjoys doing repetitive process work and working efficiently with a team to achieve daily objectives, and dealing courteously with people of all backgrounds. They need to have a good ability to communicate with fellow staff and customers, have a high level of stamina for physical work, accurate basic numerical skills and an eye for detail.

Most of our products are chemical liquids, which are packed in 5 litre and 20 litre containers, so the successful applicant must be able to lift goods weighing up to 25kg.

Consistent attendance, being adaptable to changing duties, and an ability to work calmly under pressure and 'get on with the job' are all important.

Proven experience in similar roles will be advantageous.
