About us

Kempsey Family Day Care Inc has been established in the Macleay Valley for 40 years. We offer everything you need to establish and sucessfully operate your own childcare service from home or in a families home. We know the childcare profession and we know the importance of experienced support staff mentoring our own Family Day Care & In Home Care educators.

Our philosophy is to establish strong, mutually beneficial relationships with educators, families and children. Our committment and work ethic is second to none and we cultivate these qualities in all of our childcare services. Qualifications & experience

Hold or be willing to obtain a paid NSW Working With Children Check, ensuring the utmost care for our young ones.

Hold or be willing to obtain Childcare First Aid (HLTAID004 or HLTAID012) and Child Protection Training (CHCPRT001 or CHCPRT025)

Hold or be willing to obtain a National Police Check, within the last 6 months.

Hold an ACECQA approved Certificate III or Diploma level qualification in Child Care

People who are friendly, approachable, and can build strong relationships with our dedicated educators, families, and the wider community.

Motivated individuals with the skills to take the initiative, show commitment and exceptional social skills.

Tasks & responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Actively supervise and effectively communicate with the children.

Ensure children's safety while in your care.

Work within Belonging, Being and Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework, Service Policies & Procedures, National Quality Standards, National Regulations & Child Safe Standards.

Participate in relevant professional learning.

Respond to the strengths, interests, and needs of the children.

Ensure the recording of the observations of children's learning and development.

Engage in critical reflections to develop future programming.

Engage and guide children in responsive learning activities.

Support an inclusive environment and the individual wellbeing needs of the children.

Respect, build and maintain positive relationships with the children and their families.

Proactively engage with coordination unit team members and support a healthy environment.

Guide children towards a sense of being and belonging within the service.

Actively maintain a clean, hygienic and safe environment for children.
