About the role
Mater Private Hospital Brisbane is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our 9 North Acute Medical Ward on a permanent part-time basis (24 hours per week).
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team that delivers exceptional care to patients with a broad range of acute medical conditions. You’ll be supported by a collaborative and values-driven environment where your skills and professional development are truly valued.
Salary range: $41.73 - $53.53 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a Registered Nurse in 9 North, you’ll play an integral role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a fast-paced acute medical setting.
You will:
- Provide safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care to patients with a variety of acute medical conditions.
 - Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
 - Contribute to quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient safety and experience.
 - Support and mentor students and junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
 
About you
You are a dedicated and adaptable nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and supporting positive health outcomes. You thrive in a team environment and are motivated by Mater’s mission to provide exceptional healthcare with compassion and respect.
You will also have:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
 - Experience or a strong interest in acute medical nursing.
 - Excellent communication, clinical assessment, and time management skills.
 - A commitment to Mater’s values of compassion, dignity, care, and service excellence.
