Early Childhood Teacher
Mott Park Community Kindergarten has an exciting opportunity for a passionate, experienced, qualified Early Childhood Teacher for our Thursday, Friday program for 2026.
Located in Holland Park amongst stunning bush surrounds, nature play and large outdoor spaces.
Our new Teacher will join a team of highly qualified, passionate and dedicated educators who value collaboration, curiosity, creativity, open communication and continuous improvement. We are well resourced and have a very supportive management committee.

Opportunity: 12-month contract from 19 January – 11 December 2026.
Must be available 19-24 January 2026 for set up week.
This position may become a permanent part time position in 2027.
Days/Hours: Group 2 Thursdays & Fridays from 7:30am to 5:30pm
Qualifications/Experience Required:
Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent (qualification must be recognised by ACECQA)
Approved (ACECQA) Child Protection Training or the willingness to obtain.
QCT Registration
Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and asthma training certificates
Willingness to be a Responsible Person in Charge (RPIC)
Current Police Check
Valid Blue Card or Exemption Card
Australian work eligibility (no visa restrictions)
Minimum 2 years experience working as an Early Childhood Teacher (in a community kindergarten preferred)
Pay & Benefits:
· Wages based on qualifications and years of professional experience
· Superannuation with additional superannuation benefits
· Additional paid hours for parent interviews and writing transition statements
· Paid non-contact time. 11 weeks paid leave: including up to 4 weeks annual & 7 weeks recess leave during the Qld state school holidays.
· The position has 7.5hrs contact time with children plus 2.5hrs non-contact time per day for documentation, setting up the environment etc.

· Ensuring the environment is safe, well-maintained, inviting and dynamic
· Using your knowledge of the National Quality Framework & Standards, The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Qld Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG) to provide an environment of high quality for all stake holders.
· Maintaining written documentation, including observations of learning & development, critical reflections and whole group plans based on the planning cycle in accordance with the EYLF and the QKLG
· Being flexible and reflective, with a commitment to ongoing improvement, professional development and learning
· Being part of the service’s Leadership Team, working as an effective team leader to direct and support other educators as required
· Participating in regular meetings and professional development opportunities; including team, committee and staff meetings
· Being willing to follow directions from the Director and Parent Management Committee
· Participating in Kindy and community events including our Welcome event, Bunnings BBQ, Kindy Disco, Curriculum night
