About the Role
The Geriatric Evaluation Management (GEM) Unit - Kew is a progressive and dynamic 24-bed unit specialising in the care of the older person. With an emphasis on person-centred care, our interdisciplinary team partner with consumers to optimise outcomes and preserve human dignity. The successful candidate is a member of the clinical multidisciplinary team and fulfils their role under the guidance and support of the Nurse Unit Manager or delegate.
- Have strong communication skills and demonstrate an understanding of patients with complex social dynamics.
- Assist Graduate Nurses, Grade 2 Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, casual nursing staff, agency nursing staff and student nurses.
- Accurately document patient care in accordance with health service guidelines.
- Respond to clinical changes in patient's condition and initiate consultation with relevant medical/nursing and inter-disciplinary team as required.
- Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

Classifications for this position will range from YP3 - YP9 ($69,253.60 - $92,601.60 pro rata per annum).
