Orroroo Health Service – Orroroo Community Home

Orroroo is a charming town located 257 km north of Adelaide, positioned at the crossroads of the Sydney to Perth Highway and the Adelaide to Blinman route through the scenic Flinders Ranges. Serving as a vital hub for the surrounding agricultural region, Orroroo is a picturesque farming community where wheat, wool, sheep, and cattle are the main products.

The township is well-equipped with local amenities, including three coffee shops, a small bakery, gift shops, hotels, a pre-school to Year 12 school, a local police station, town facilities, and a variety of sporting clubs. These features combine to make Orroroo a wonderful place to live, offering a unique blend of country charm and friendliness.

Orroroo Community Home is a 16-bed residential aged care facility situated at a separate location. It is staffed by a dedicated team of Registered Nurses (RNs), Enrolled Nurses (ENs), and Direct Care Workers. Nurses collaborate closely across all areas and benefit from strong support, including 24/7 access to doctors (with after-hours on-call), the South Australian Virtual Emergency Service (SAVES), and an after-hours on-call nurse.

Role Overview
