Are you a passionate and skilled School Psychologist looking to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant and supportive school community? Narrogin Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a collaborative, flexible, and highly motivated professional to join our team in a full-time, permanent role starting Term 1, 2026.

The Role

We are seeking someone who ideally:

  • Is student-focused, solutions-oriented, and professionally driven
  • Builds strong relationships with staff, students, and caregivers
  • Has a deep understanding of school systems and effective engagement practices
  • Delivers high-quality psychological services aligned with professional and school standards

As a key member of our Student Services Team, the School Psychologist works closely with school leaders and the Learning Support Coordinator to:

  • Provide evidence-based strategies to address learning, social, and behavioural needs
  • Support students at risk through tailored interventions
  • Contribute to whole-school planning and targeted response strategies
  • Help develop and implement school-based support programs

Your role will be instrumental in strengthening student wellbeing and engagement across the school.

Eligibility

  • hold or be eligible for provisional or general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

  1. Demonstrated ability to implement school psychology services and programs in an educational environment to maximise student learning outcomes.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of the implementation and evaluation of a variety of psychological approaches appropriate for individual, group and system-level intervention.
  3. Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills, demonstrating the capacity to produce correspondence, reports and case notes, and interview and training (facilitation) skills.
  4. Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills, which demonstrate an ability to function in a self-directed way, and as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with a range of clients across the lifespan, Department personnel and inter-agency partners across a variety of contexts.
  5. Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and conceptual skills to issues identification, risk assessment and analysis, intervention and evaluation.
