A Registered dermatology nurse is sought for our established specialist dermatology practice. We offer a full range of medical dermatology services including mole mapping as well as cosmetic dermatology.

This is a full time or part time role.

Our long-established specialist practice is centrally located in Melbourne’s Inner North and close to public transport. Offsite all-day parking is available nearby.

The role is to assist in all areas of dermatological practice with a patient-centric approach. As part of our nursing team, you will work closely with our dermatologists and maintain responsibility for day to day clinical duties within the practice and procedure areas.

Responsibilities include (but are not restricted to):

· assisting dermatologists with procedures (such as biopsies, curettage, and excisions)

· management of pathology

· providing pre and procedure care for patients, including wound care

· patient education

· assisting with additional patient services (such as photo imaging, patch testing and PDT)

· delivering a high standard of clinical care at all times

· managing clinical areas, including cleaning, sterilizing and maintaining of equipment and stock

· some administration tasks

· confident with Genie Software

Ideal candidates will have:

· experience as a Dermatology or surgical nurse

· current registration with APHRA

· commitment to providing a high standard of safety and quality patient care

· the ability to multitask and function in a highly organized and time efficient manner

· excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate well to patients, staff, practitioners and health care professionals

· demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and to influence and enhance clinical practice.

· experience with sterilization in an office-based practice/procedure room
