POSITION PURPOSE
This primary purpose of this position is to assist the Club Manager in obtaining leads and converting them into membership sales. The Sales Assistant also contributes to the administration of the club by undertaking general administrative tasks which are mainly as a result of the sales process.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
Compiling and maintaining a list of prospective and current customers for use as sale leads
Merchandising or rotating products according to company guidelines
Assisting the Club Manager to hit sales targets by completing the sales process and closing sales
Contributing to sales and marketing initiatives to drive membership growth
Assist with tasks associated with the management of the membership system (Glofox)
Contribute to local area networking
General administration assistance
Provide in-club customer service and interaction as required
Contribute to membership retention through providing administrative support for competitions, friend referral schemes, PT pack sales, nutrition seminars, member database marketing and new initiatives to encourage member attendance
Assist with additional tasks as required such as community events, club presentation and tidiness, and contributing to new and innovative ideas to keep the club ahead of the competition
Follow all Snap Fitness policies and procedures
Identify and report all hazards to the Club Manager
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Recruitment, selection and performance management for this position is based upon the persons demonstrated capability to:
(Technical) Develop and maintain a sound level of knowledge for Snap Fitness processes for sales and marketing, membership, general club operations and WHS management.
(Problem solving) Implement a sound problem solving approach to club sales activities, membership issues and the prioritisation of work.
(Communication/Relationships) Utilise various communication mediums (including social media) to undertake sales and customer service activities and to build relationships both within the club and externally.
(Leadership, drive and integrity) Display sound judgement in following Snap Fitness and/or club policies as well as demonstrating self-management to utilise resources and time appropriately.
(Achieve Results) Apply sound approaches to setting/achieving targets and contributes to the review of results to ensure ongoing improvement.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Certificate III or IV in Fitness is desirable (mandatory if doing member inductions).
Current Senior First Aid certificate and CPR (or higher qualification).
Must have appropriate police/working with children check.
