About the role

Kirby Contract Grading Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join our team on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality construction projects in the Adelaide SA 5000 region. As an Excavator Operator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and safe operation of excavation equipment, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

Operate excavation equipment, such as excavators, in a safe and efficient manner to complete a variety of construction tasks

Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance on excavation equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety

Work closely with the construction team to understand project requirements and adjust operations accordingly

Adhere to all relevant safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment

Provide feedback and suggestions for improving excavation operations and processes

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as an Excavator Operator in the construction industry

Minimum 1 year operating excavator with GPS

Demonstrated proficiency in the operation of excavation equipment, including proper techniques and safety protocols

Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to adapt to changing job site conditions

Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all relevant safety regulations
