About the Company

Our client is a leader in the building supplies industry, specialising in plasterboard and trade materials. They are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Trade Counter Sales / Warehouse Operator to join their busy Underwood branch.

About the Role

This hands-on position combines trade counter and retail sales with warehouse and forklift operations. You’ll assist trade customers with product enquiries and orders, operate forklifts for loading/unloading, and help maintain a safe, efficient, and customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide friendly and professional service to trade and retail customers

Process sales, quotes, and orders accurately

Operate counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently

Load and unload trucks and customer vehicles

Maintain store presentation and stock levels

General warehouse duties and manual handling (up to 20kg)

Follow all site safety and company procedures

Skills & Experience

To be successful, you’ll ideally have:

Current LF Forklift Licence

Experience in trade counter or retail sales (building/plasterboard preferred)

Strong customer service and communication skills

Basic computer and POS system experience

Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

Own reliable transport

Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen

Ability to provide a recent National Police Check

Positive attitude and strong safety awareness
