About the Role
As our Maintenance Person, you will be the hands-on problem solver who keeps our facility running smoothly and safely. From preventative maintenance to responsive repairs, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents live in dignity, comfort, and safety every day.

What You Will Do
Conduct planned preventative maintenance and responsive repairs across our facility
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards (2025), and building codes
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting systems using digital platforms
Collaborate with Clinical Care, Personal Care, and Lifestyle teams to prioritise resident safety and wellbeing
Support infection prevention and control through proper maintenance of equipment and facilities
Manage contractor relationships and oversee external maintenance work
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and safety audits
Respond to emergency maintenance situations with professionalism and efficiency
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Trade qualifications or demonstrated equivalent experience across multiple trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, general maintenance
Current driver's licence
Strong computer literacy and ability to maintain digital documentation systems
Current Aged Care Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
Understanding of WHS requirements and risk management
Excellent communication skills and ability to work respectfully with older people, families, and staff
Desirable:
Experience in aged care, healthcare, or similar regulated environment
First Aid certification
Understanding of infection prevention and control practices
