The role is located at our purpose built Very Special Kids House, in Malvern. Our new state-of-the-art hospice (including hydro-therapy pool) is a world class facility to support the complex needs of the children and young people in our care. About Very Special Kids:

At Very Special Kids, we believe that all children and young people have the right to a quality of life, no matter how long or short their life may be. We are a highly respected organisation with circa 100 employees and over 600 volunteers who provide essential, free-of-charge, palliative care services for children and young people living with a life-liming condition. Very Special Kids provides specialist services for the whole family, including counselling, peer support, bereavement support and respite or end of life care at Victoria’s only hospice for children and young people.

Working in our Sister Margaret Noone Hospice, Enrolled Nurses are responsible for:

· Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

· Collaborate with the Hospice clinical team to deliver holistic care to children and young people.

· Participate in therapy programs, school holiday activities, and support allied health initiatives.

· Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality and safety processes.

About You

· AHPRA registered as an Enrolled Nurse (with endorsement)

· Minimum 1-year post-graduate experience, ideally in paediatrics, palliative care, or disability

· Experience with nasogastric tubes, tracheostomy and gastrostomy care (preferred)

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Commitment to ongoing professional development and child-safe practices
