About the role

Altrad is seeking experienced Crane Operator to support the Rio Tinto Tom Price Phase III Structural Remediation Project.

Holding a Crane Operator ticket with 2–3+ years’ experience in heavy industrial environments, skilled in complex lifting operations, load management, and structural assembly, with the ability to assist with lift planning when required.

Leveraging your crane operating expertise, you’ll safely manage slewing mobile cranes — up to 100 tonnes or over 100 tonnes lifting capacity — supporting construction and maintenance activities while ensuring all lifts comply with Australian Standards.

· Commencement: 4th January 2026

· Roster: Ongoing 2:2

· Client: World-leading Metals & Mining company with sites throughout the Pilbara region

· Employment Type: Casual, with rates ranging from $63 – $74 per hour

· Point of Hire: Perth (FIFO)

· Hours: 12-hour shifts

Who do we want to hear from?

· Hold Nationally Accredited qualifications including:

· High Risk Work Licence – C1 & Dogging

· Drivers Licence (MR)

· Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, Gas Test Atmospheres and Demonstrate Fire Attack (2 year expiry) (Desirable)

· Work safely in the construction industry (white/blue card)

· Ability to successfully complete a Crane Operator Verification of Competency

· Rio Tinto Inducted (desirable)

· Ability to pass a project specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
