ASM Sheetmetal in Bayswater have an increasing workload with overtime available.

We are looking for an experienced Sheetmetal Welder / Fabricator to join our growing team at a casual rate of $42 per hour and a full time permanent rate to be discussed after a short trail period.

Full time rate will depend on your skills and experience.

Wages reviewed annually

We are a leading manufacturer of custom made Electrical switchboard cubicles and general Sheetmetal work.

- Mostly light - medium gauge fabrication, working with Mild steel, Aluminium and Stainless Steel

- Must be fit, reliable, enthusiastic and willing to work as part of a team

- Must be able to fabricate from a drawing / 3d model with little supervision and be able to problem solve

- A trade qualification is not essential but definitely an advantage

- Must have basic PPE – steel cap boots, a welding mask and basic hand tools

- We work a 38 hour week

- Monday – Thursday 7:00 - 3:30 + overtime

- Friday 7:00 - 1:00

- Saturdays - most weekends

Skills and experience

Sheetmetal fabrication experience

Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Work unsupervised and be able to problem solve

Ability to read and speak English

Forklift license would also be an advantage
