What does a Blok Freight driver do?

As a Van Delivery Driver, you will be the friendly face of Blok Freight and a key part of our success. The right candidate will be energetic, a team player and have excellent customer service skills.

Your day will include:

· Sorting parcels and planning your delivery route

· Striving to deliver consignments in full and on time.

· Safely operating your vehicle and completing vehicle checks

· Using handheld scanners to complete deliveries and pickups

· Showcasing your excellent customer service skills

As a MR Truck Driver, you will be the friendly face of Blok Freight and a key part of our business success.

Your day will include:

· Safely operating your vehicle and completing vehicle checks.

· Completing multidrop deliveries and pickups, striving to deliver parcels/pallets safely & efficiently.

· Planning your delivery routes and loading and unloading freight from your vehicle.

· Using handheld scanners to complete deliveries and pickups.

· Takes pride in their equipment and is able to wash and clean their truck when required.

· Loading your truck and scanning on the deliveries and pickups each day.

· Ability to use a tailgate loader and trolley jacks to complete deliveries.

Since 1992, Blok Freight has been servicing the Northern Rivers with time critical, parcel express and bulk freight services.

Blok is a family and locally owned company, with huge ambitions to grow.

The business currently operates in two facilities in Lismore and Murwillumbah; however, we have some big targets coming in 2025, we have now opened a brand-new depot in Murwillumbah. We currently employ over 70 people with a fleet of 50 vehicles that covers Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales. You will be joining a can-do group of people who all share the same passion of under promising and over delivering for our customers and the community.

Your skills and experience

· Must be self-starter who can manage their workload efficiently.

· Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug & alcohol test prior to employment.

· Must be physically fit: able to lift repeatedly, carry parcels and be on your feet for the majority of your day.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes.

· Must have valid Australian driver’s license.

· Previous experience in a delivery, warehousing or similar role advantageous.

· Must complete a Pre-Employment Health and Physical exam & Drug and Alcohol Test (Employer supplied)

IMPORTANT

Please note – this role is Monday to Friday with some Saturdays available dependent on business needs.

Successful applicants will be required to provide a driver history check and undergo a national police check.
