The role
In the role of Surveyor, you will manage survey projects to ensure services meet all objectives through the phases of engineering project cycles of planning, designing, constructing, and managing the road network.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Undertake and complete engineering survey projects with the survey and geospatial team to ensure timely completion and adherence to scope and quality to meet the project cycle requirements
• Undertake specialised survey projects and provide technical expertise and consultancy service in geospatial applications to a diverse range of customers to ensure success, value for money and best practice are adopted.
• Maintain effective liaison and communication with internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to survey projects.
• Ensure operational practices and standards of service and performance comply with departmental and regional policies, legislation (incl. WH&S), TMR surveying standards and governance obligations.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Minimum of a 3-year degree from a tertiary institute in Spatial Science (Surveying) will be highly regarded, or an equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institute that is acceptable for registration as a surveyor/surveying graduate with the Surveyors Board of Queensland (SBQ) - Evidence of degree or SBQ acceptance must be supplied in writing by the applicant at the time of the interview.
• A current Class ‘C' Drivers Licence
• Pre-employment checks, including a criminal history screening and declaration of serious discipline history will be required to be completed.
• Must be eligible to work in Australia.
