At Three Springs Early Childcare Centre, we are searching for an inspiring Centre Director to lead our team and provide exceptional education and care for our children. Our 19 place centre is community-based non-profit, run by a volunteer management committee of dedicated community members.
Three Springs is located 3.5 hours north of Perth, Western Australia and 1 hr from the coastal town of Dongara. Local services include a hospital and medical centre, dental clinic, Primary School and District High Schools in surrounding towns.
Candidates must be willing to relocate to or live within commuting distance of Three Springs, Western Australia.
The Director will have a deep understanding of children, families, and the power of nurturing environments. They will lead the team and oversee the daily operations of the service. The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate for community development, with the ability to create and implement programs that meet the needs of our diverse and inclusive environment.
As Centre Director, you will:
Oversee the daily operations of the community centre, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all.
Work autonomously and as part of a team, creating a positive work culture.
Work closely with and be supported by the Management Committee.
Lead and mentor a dedicated team of educators.
Ensure compliance with the NQF and Education and Care National Law Act and Regulations, including Workcover and Fair Work legislation.
Build strong relationships with families and the wider Three Springs community.
Foster relationships with local organisations, businesses and community leaders to enhance the centre's reach and impact.
Supported by an Early Childhood Teacher, plan and execute a diverse range of programs and events that address the needs and interests of the children and community.
Requirements for the role
Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (ACECQA-approved).
Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership or Centre Director role (Preferred but not essential).
Strong understanding of EYLF, NQS, and regulatory frameworks and experience in the delivery of early childhood services / programs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Solid written and oral language skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word and other relevant software and platforms related to the role.
Current WA Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
Current First Aid certificate, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
Available 4-5 days per week for full time (essential)
Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.
