  • Develop business cases in support of submissions to the State budget process and other funding requests, provide expert advice and guidance on budget submissions.
  • Pro-actively initiate, build and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and develop options for implementing innovative strategies to facilitate a partnership approach.
  • Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of financial policy and associated program initiatives as implemented and applied within the departmental context and manage policy evaluation processes.

About you

As our ideal candidate you will have:

  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills, with a particular ability to analyse complex policy issues, interpret legislation and provide accurate and strategic advice.
  • Proven experience in the preparation of timely, concise and accurate briefings, project documentation and reports on complex policy and finance-related issues.
  • Demonstrated capacity to analyse and prepare budget submissions, financial reports, and undertake financial analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
