The Role

We are seeking a committed and creative High School Humanities/English Teacher to join our faculty in a full-time capacity from Term 1, 2026. In this role, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging Main Lessons and skills-based classes in English and Humanities

Foster critical thinking, creativity, and strong communication skills in students

Integrate literary and language content with artistic and experiential learning

Build a respectful, inclusive classroom culture that supports student wellbeing

Participate in faculty meetings and collaborative curriculum planning

Provide timely and meaningful student feedback in line with NZCSE requirements

What You Bring

Current QCT registration (or eligibility)

Experience teaching English and Humanities at the high school level

An understanding of, or genuine interest in, Steiner education

Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills

Ability to balance independent teaching with collaborative faculty participation
