About the role

Individual Supported Services Pty Ltd is seeking motivated and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team in Rockhampton, Queensland. In this casual position, you will play a vital role in providing personalised support to a young lady with a disability, empowering her to live independently and to participate actively in the community. This role requires mature aged females.

What you'll be doing

Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote wellbeing and community engagement

Providing support and encouragement to help client achieve individual goals and promote independence

Documenting client progress and communicating effectively with the wider care team

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of care

What we're looking for

Minimum 6 months experience in providing care and support services to individuals with disabilities, either in a professional or personal capacity

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with client

Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others

Certificate III in Individual Support or Disability (highly regarded); studying towards qualification will be considered

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

Current Blue Card

Valid Driver's License

Current First Aid and CPR Certificates

Must have full working rights in Australia
