Salary: VPS 4 $97,955 - $111,142 pa + 12% super
Location: 27-29 Faithfull Street, Wangaratta

About the role:
You'll lead frontline regulatory actions to prevent harm from pollution and waste. You'll play a key role in delivering education, compliance monitoring, and enforcement activities that protect the environment and public health across Northeast Victoria Region.
In this role you will:
- Plan and deliver regulatory activities aligned with EPA's strategic priorities.
- Respond to environmental and public health incidents.
- Support investigations and compliance programs, including preventative projects.
- Provide guidance to team members and contribute to resolving compliance issues.
- Engage with communities and stakeholders to promote awareness of environmental laws and EPA's role.
Skills and experience:
- Proven experience in a senior operational setting, ideally within regulatory or environmental compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex enforcement matters and lead high-impact projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor others and manage conflict effectively.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure.
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or substantial industry experience is desirable.
