About the role:

You'll lead frontline regulatory actions to prevent harm from pollution and waste. You'll play a key role in delivering education, compliance monitoring, and enforcement activities that protect the environment and public health across Northeast Victoria Region.

In this role you will:

• Plan and deliver regulatory activities aligned with EPA's strategic priorities.
• Respond to environmental and public health incidents.
• Support investigations and compliance programs, including preventative projects.
• Provide guidance to team members and contribute to resolving compliance issues.
• Engage with communities and stakeholders to promote awareness of environmental laws and EPA's role.

Skills and experience:

• Proven experience in a senior operational setting, ideally within regulatory or environmental compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex enforcement matters and lead high-impact projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor others and manage conflict effectively.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure.
• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or substantial industry experience is desirable.
