Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will develop behaviour support program, work closely with clients, families, and other professionals to implement behaviour plans and promote positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessment

Develop Behaviour Support Plans

Implementing individualised behaviour support plans and interventions

Collect and record data on client progress and behaviours

Provide one-on-one support to clients in various settings (home, community, school)

Collaborate with supervising practitioners to modify strategies based on client needs

Promote client independence and skill development through positive reinforcement

Attend team meetings and contribute to case discussions

Maintain professional and ethical standards in all interactions

Requirements:

Relevant qualifications in Disability Support, Community Services, Psychology, Education, or related field (minimum Bachelor)

NDIS Registration as Behaviour Support Practitioner

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or challenging behaviours preferred

Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or challenging behaviours

Understanding of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles is an advantage

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Current Working with Children Check and Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)

Valid driver's license and own transport

Core level NDIS Registration as Behaviour Support Practitioner required

Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
